GP2 News - Six Of The Best For DPR
29/10/2007
David Price Racing is living up to its reputation as a team that nurtures young talent. At next week's four-day GP2 test session at Paul Ricard it will test six drivers, of which two have never previously driven a Bridgestone-shod GP2 car.

The rookies are young British hotshoes Ben Hanley and Oliver Jarvis, who, in 2007, contested the World Series by Renault and the Japanese Formula 3 Championship respectively. Both drivers are looking to graduate to the GP2 Series in 2008.

"We're pleased to be giving two British youngsters the chance to drive a GP2 car," says DPR boss David Price. "I'm sure they will put in strong performances and I believe they deserve the chance to step up a level."

All 13 teams that contested the 2007 GP2 Series will be at the Paul Ricard test next week because it provides a rare opportunity to try out drivers ahead of the inaugural GP2 Asia Series that kicks off in January.

Every team has to have at least one Asian driver in their line-up for GP2 Asia, which will be given technical support by Bridgestone, and time is running out for decisions to be made. DPR is hoping to do a deal with Indian Karun Chandhok, who won a race in 2007 and would fulfil this obligation.
