iSport International endured an unsettled 2007 GP2 Series season. After some extraordinary highs and some disappointing lows the British squad finally came out on top when they clinched both the Team and Driver’s titles in the final round of the season at Valencia, Spain.

iSport International team boss, Paul Jackson, talks to Bridgestone Motorsport’s Racing All Over the World Podcast about how good it feels to win the championship.

“Difficult to put into words really,” said Jackson. “A fantastic feeling and a great reward for the team for all their hard work over the last three years.”

As iSport International head into their fourth GP2 season in 2008, they are set to face new challenges in the form of the GP2/08 car. The new vehicle, designed by Dallara, is the only racing car in the world outside of Formula One that matches the very latest 2007 F1 FIA safety standards and Jackson and his team can’t wait to get their hands on it.

“We are looking forward to it very much,” said Jackson. “We’ve obviously had a little look at the car and it looks a really, really nice job. Whether we can win, for sure that’s got to be our target but we know from this year how hard it is.”
