Scott Sharp will race for the Rahal Letterman team in the IRL IndyCar Series in 2007. Sharp, a nine-time winner in the IndyCar Series, raced for Delphi Fernandez Racing in 2006. He was joint champion in the IRL’s debut season in 1996.“I’m so fortunate to have this opportunity with those guys. I couldn’t be more excited right now,” said Sharp, who has started the last 121 IndyCar races....

Mixed fortunes for two Aussies at Surfers Paradise
Ryan Briscoe became the first Australian to win the Indy 300 at the Gold Coasts’ Surfers Paradise circuit on Sunday 26 October, taking the lead when fellow Australian Will Power crashed out on lap 17.  Briscoe’s win was also the first Team Penske victory down under since 1992 with Emerson Fittipaldi.  
IndyCar Feature - Franchitti Heads To NASCAR
Dario Franchitti is relishing his new career challenge after announcing he will race full-time in NASCAR for Chip Ganassi Racing. The reigning IndyCar Series and Indy 500 champion will turn his back on more than ten years of open-wheel racing to follow the path of former CART rival and future NASCAR Sprint Cup teammate Juan Pablo Montoya.
