IRL News - Patrick Unveils 2007 AGR Car
18/09/2006
In a lavish ceremony in Chicago last week, Andretti Green Racing unveiled Danica Patrick's new ride for the 2007 IndyCar season, which featured a unique paint scheme highlighted by new title sponsor Motorola.

Patrick's new black and blue Dallara/Honda/Firestone - promptly nicknamed the "Batmobile" by the 2005 Indianapolis 500 and IRL IndyCar Series rookie-of-the-year - is only the third confirmed AGR car for 2007, along with Tony Kanaan's and Marco Andretti's racers, but team co-owner Michael Andretti is sure the outfit will keep its current car count next season.

"We have a lot of work to do over the winter to try and catch up to the Team Penske and Chip Ganassi Racing red cars," Andretti admitted. "What’s going to put Danica, Tony, Marco and the fourth guy we’re going to have in a car back in Victory Lane is working together."

For her part, Patrick celebrated her new surroundings after two seasons with Rahal Letterman Racing.

"It’s something new, and change is good," she said. "But I’ll always be grateful for the things Bobby Rahal and everybody at the team have done to help me and my career, and give me the best car possible."
