Jenson Button to support Driving Nation roadshow

Bridgestone has now confirmed that the surprise guest appearing on the second day of the launch event of its UK Driving Nation roadshow will be none other than current Formula One World Championship Leader Jenson Button.

Bridgestone aims to put pleasure back into motoring

Bridgestone’s Driving Nation roadshow started on Wednesday 29th July in Birmingham’s Centenary Square and will run for two days from 10-4pm. At the event, Bridgestone aims to get up close and personal with motorists, finding out what pressures they are currently facing, what drives them mad about motoring today and what they believe the future holds for motoring in the UK. By bringing together the nation’s collective opinions on driving, Bridgestone will put the pleasure back into motoring by reminding us how great it can really be.

Bridgestone’s special links with F1, as this season’s Official Tyre Supplier, has meant that it has been able to secure the current leader of the F1 grid for the launch of its Driving Nation roadshow.  Jenson Button will be flying in on Thursday 30th July to sign autographs and greet fans from 12pm onwards.

Motorists currently facing challenges

“We know that motorists are currently facing some of the biggest challenges ever, from the increasing cost of fuel, to environmental concerns over CO2 emissions, to the misery of congestion, sadly it seems that we have forgotten the pleasure of driving and the sheer unadulterated joy of getting behind the wheel!

“What better way to kick off our campaign than with Jenson Button who quite simply has kept us glued to our TV sets over the last five months and has truly come into his own over this F1 season”.
Andy Dingley, advertising and promotions manager of Bridgestone
